Who we are
Warburton Sweetcorn Days is a small, seasonal pick-your-own event based in Warburton, Cheshire. If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, email us at hello@warburtonsweetcorn.co.uk.
What we collect
- Email signups: if you join our "notify me" list, we collect your email address.
- Spam protection: our signup form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and browsing information in order to tell real visitors apart from automated bots. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Buying cobs ahead of your visit: when this opens, payments will be handled by our payment provider, who will collect the details needed to take payment. We never see or store your card details.
- Website analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that measures overall site visits and performance. It does not track individual visitors or set cookies.
Why we collect it
- To confirm your order and send you any updates about your visit.
- To send occasional emails about the event, only if you've signed up for these.
- To keep automated bots out of our signup form.
- To understand overall site traffic so we can keep the site running well.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your data. We use the following third-party services to run this event, each of which processes data on our behalf:
- EmailOctopus — stores your email address if you join our "notify me" list, and sends the emails you sign up for. EmailOctopus emails include standard open and click tracking, which you can see disclosed in the footer of every email we send.
- Google reCAPTCHA — protects our signup form from automated bots.
- Zoho Mail — hosts our email inbox.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides analytics.
How long we keep it
Order and email signup data is kept only for as long as needed to run this event and respond to any follow-up enquiries, and is deleted or anonymised after the season ends unless you ask us to keep you on file for future events.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us at any time to see what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@warburtonsweetcorn.co.uk and we'll sort it promptly. You can also unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email we send.
Cookies
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics tool (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless by design. Emails sent through EmailOctopus contain standard open and click tracking (an industry-standard practice, not a website cookie) so we can see how many people are engaging with our updates — you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
